This is probably the best book I have ever read. The book grips you from the very start, telling the story of how a poor boy from a violent family grew up to be one of, if not 'the' most prolific hitman ever. Starting with his childhood, to becoming a young man in his 20s to a family man, this books tells of Richard Kuklinski's exploits thoughout these three stages of his life and what lead him to be the man he became. What keeps you hooked is the fact that everything you read about The Iceman's life, which at times is so horrifying and amazing, is based on interviews given to the author by Richard Kuklinski himself; facts which were later verified Even in your wildest dreams you wouldn't think of doing what he done as a child From there his behaviour just escalated in to that of a fully blown murderer, But this isn't just a tale of gore for the sake of it, bu the study of a real man's life If you haven't seen the film, read this book first. i read it 3 times in the year I bought and am looking forward to reading it again. If you like biographies, you will not be disappointed

With the prospect of a 12 hour megabus journey, I needed something to keep me occupied, this was just the thing! This insight into a killer's mind was both fascinating and terrifying, and the events described make it impossible to stop reading.

A look into the most cold blooded convicted killer the mob like to use, this book explores the mind set of a man which killed "Big Paulie" Castellano the head of New Yorks most powerful family to killing a man with a crossbow whilst he walked his dog to see how effective it was. From his early up bringing in a povery stricken family with an alcholic father who murdered Kuklinskis brother to getting bullied at school. This is a great but gruesome book of how Kuklinski killed without any remorse and the techniques used in killing and desposing of bodies, there are moments of morality in the book which give him a human light to his monster personality, it also explores his last days with his wife and children and the relationships for them with the most notorious mob hitman

This book i got because id read the reviews online when i finished reading it i was left disapointed. Only because the reviews over hyped the title. It is a good book but dont go in expecting Silence of the lambs.
