Scottish author and poet, Louise Greig was brought up in Lenzie, near Glasgow, but has lived in Aberdeen for most of her adult life. Her stories reflect her love of the wild Scottish landscape and the influence of the storytellers she grew up with such as Robert Louis Stevenson, Maurice Sendak, Astrid Lindgren and Tove Jansson. Her published work includes the picture books The Island and the Bear and The Night Box. She lives with her husband and her rescue greyhound, Smoky.

Ashling Lindsay is an illustrator and animation director from Belfast. She was shortlisted for the AOI Illustration Awards in 2013 and 2014 and was also shortlisted for the AOI Serco prize for illustration in 2015.
